Happy Christmas, from all of us at National Comedy Theatre

We've very much enjoyed our 2014, and we hope you have had a great year as well

The Ladies say "Hey!"

We thought this picture set up would be a good idea...

And Happy Christmas from the Gents!

Why Should You Spend New Years Eve at National Comedy Theatre?

Becuase our top notch improv comedy can't be beat.
...and we REALLY have a lot of fun on New Years, which makes it even more funny. We will have a special program printed exclusively for NYE 2015. We have been known to change up the games and include some special surprises in there as well...
Our FIRST New Years Eve Show, 2008 turns into 2009!

Because custom made holiday cannolis from RigaTony's  are delicious.
...each year we include delicious desserts and this year we are super excited to have custom made cakes and cannoli made by our friends at RigaTonys! SOOOOOO yummy.

Becuase it's all ages, everyone is included.
...Im certain there is something to be said for New Years Eve out at (what I have heard referenced as) "Da Club" spending tons of your 2014 dollars on drinks and really expensive door fees, etc.

Im sure it goes without saying that we think its a lot more fun to hang out at the show at NCT. We don't have to kick anyone out the door just for being under 21, so everyone can be a part of the magic.

Because Bob Caplan will memorize your name.
...every year since 2008 NCT Main Stage cast member Bob Caplan has memorized the first names of all 111 New Years Eve Extravaganza guests. This year, he can memorize your name!

Because Midnight 2015 needs a Champagne & Cider toast, a balloon drop, and 100 people who just spent the evening laughing together!
...seriously? Lets start '15 off right.

Because its my Birthday.

...and I want to spend my birthday with YOU (The Audience!)

And, you should get your tickets now because this show has SOLD OUT every year since 2008.

Happy New Year!

"Who You Gonna Call?" Our Ghostbusters 2 Showing is THIS THURSDAY!

We're big Ghostbusters fans around here. Big, Big. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man size fans.

So, last spring when we met the AZ Ghostbusters at Phoenix Film Festival's Geek Day it was a total no-brainer to plan an anniversary screening of Ghostbusters 2!
Fun story, we also met the Educating [Geeks] at Geek Day... and they're part of the special Holiday Screening of Ghostbusters 2 as well.

The whole thing is really exciting. The AZ Ghostbusters have put together an awesome pre-movie slide show that includes behind the scenes photos, trivia, fun facts and other cool tid bits that only an

actual Ghostbuster would know. We've got an introduction video by the actress who played Slimer, and the AZ 'Busters are going to raffle off some super cool Ghostbusters stuff along with some NCT stuff... and this is all happening before the movie even starts!

Oh, also fun to do before the movie even starts, get your picture taken with the Ecto-1, the life-size Vigo the Carpathian portait or the actual human Ghostbusters... its all included with your ticket.

By the way, did we mention that your ticket is either $8, $6 if you donate food to United Food Bank or FREE if you donate a toy (new, unwrapped) to the peppedup.org toy drive? Yep.

During the movie all you have to do is, you know, ENJOY the movie.

AFTER the movie, you are invited to listen and participate as we record a LIVE podcast with
Educating [Geeks], an AZ Ghostbuster, our NCT Super Fan and First Timer. We will chat about our favorite characters, our favorite scenes, moments and bits as well as our LEAST favorite of all those things. We will discuss whether this is really a "christmas" movie and why it wasnt as successful as Ghostbusters.

and then, after that, if you aren't already just, so full of holiday wonder that you are just about ready to burst, then hang around for the Geekly Phoenix Holiday After Party. There will be surprise screenings of other Holiday Specials, games, and other forms of amusement.

If it sounds like fun, join us on Thursday!

THREE Show Thursday | National Comedy Theatre |

This Thursday! ...so much good stuff at Three Show Thursday!

We're starting off with TNT Improv Comedy. They've got some new players on the team, they are excited and ready to get out there and entertain you with some totally spontaneous hijinks.

Now, that might be enough show for some people. Some people might say, "Whoa. Hold it right there, because I, for one, have been thoroughly entertained and I'm not sure I can take anymore!"

We are not those people. We are the ones who say, "More! Bring it on! What else have you got?"

And we've got Ernest Abridged: Ernest Saves Christmas
I love Ernest Abridged almost as much as Ernest P Worrell loves Christmas.

Here is what we do: We take the movie Ernest Saves Christmas. We sift through it till we have the bones exposed and then we present you a 'readers theatre' style scripted dramatization of the story... its funny.

And now even those of you who were like "Gimmie More!" a minute ago might be going, "Surely, that is all the comedy we can take?!?"

...but it isn't. Because at this Three Show Thrusday we are ALSO presenting the premier of the Matthew Turner Experience...

Are you social? Are you antisocial? Either way, come and see The Matthew Turner Experience, a choice blend of stand-up and musical parody brought to you by the friendliest antisocial comic in the Phoenix Metro Area.

Its $8 and All Ages and you can get your tickets at http://www.nctphoenix.com/showtimes.html
